In addition to new player-versus-environment zones WoTLK GoldC, Cataclysm will add plenty of PVP stuff, including new PVP playfields and a new mode of competition. It will take as "rated battlegrounds" which Blizzard refers to as "competitive battlefield play" that perform better at rewarding players who are skilled. The current battlegrounds provide a chance for skilled players to earn honor points that are used to buy valuable rewards However, they also allow random players in groups play like competitive players who are jackasses.
The newly rated battlegrounds will be more geared towards teams by providing an entirely new type of reward "conquest points" as well as two new, more compact playfields where players can compete. The new playfields will also include "Twin Peaks,"" a mountainous area with graveyards that are located on central areas of the map in order to let players who are defeated be respawned in a location close to where the action is. The good news is that raiding will be much easier to use in Cataclysm.
Other enhancements include a significant amount of content from high-end raids and new features that make it easier to use for raids like the ability to "downshift" larger raids into smaller groups. For instance that, if you're being part of a 25-person raiding group one night, you may be surprised to discover that not everyone could be able to make it. Instead of absconding from the quest, you could "downshift" it to at least three 10-person raids with somewhat less content and rewards that aren't as good...but you'll still have the ability to keep your progression. "Raid locks," the state of being confined to a specific location after beating a boss or two has also been modified. If you happen to achieve some progress in the raid, but you fall out with your group, you may join another group of raiders which has made it the same level as you have. The latest, main raiding feature is The Bastion of Twilight, a massive subterranean citadel ruled by one of the Deathwing's most senior lieutenants. And on the most difficult difficulty, it has the most terrifying and dark secrets beneath the earth that could or might not contain eggs of some kind.
After seeing a demo of the latest high-end features of the game we switched gears and played through the initial areas of the two brand new racthe Alliance Worgen (a group of werewolves who are able to switch back into their human form) and Horde goblins. They begin their journey as full-on human beings, and then are afflicted by a curse which transforms their appearance to that of wolves, but they also have the ability to briefly change to their "true human form" that gives the players a brief burst of speed. The race begins in a far-off kingdom that is surrounded by other worgen, who assault the settlement with a ferocious. The first quests you'll face require you to cooperate with the royalty of the town to expel merchants and pick up animals before they are slaughtered until you're infected by the curse of the worgen. Fortunately, the alchemist of the town cheap WoTLK Classic Gold provides you with an potion that allows you to keep your humanityintact, and your subsequent quests will include protecting the town from a World of Warcraft encroachment.
